That's funny, Sluggo. But tell the truth -- are you SURE she's not adopted?

gae - As I ALWAYS told every one of my kids "if you were adopted I would have returned you long before now".

I meant it at the time but I would not trade any one of them for a couple million dollars. I have the best kids in the world and, contrary to what they all say - I love every one of them the same. My 66th birthday (HEY! The alternative is much worse!) is July 30th. I sm a LEO! But my daughter, Dianne, is a Cancer (I think) too. Her birthday is July 7th (1966). And another daughter, Sue, just turned 40 on the l7th if June. And you know what I did? I saw a birthday card (it was with the ones for "daughter" so how was I to know????? (I am expected to actually READ the ones I send?????)Anyway - it said (right on the bottom of the front) "though you were not born my daughter" which I did not see but I liked what it said on top so I bought it and mailed it to Sue, OK. I only read what was on the top front! But when I was signing it I realized that it was for a divorced father (I thought)to send, so I wrote her a note explaining what I thought I had done. I should tell you that Sue looks exactly like my husband's family so there is no doubt she is mine and my husband's. Sue said that was the best laugh she has had since her "boyfriend" dumped her. She said she was reading it and when she got to the part where it said "though you were not born my daughter" she said (out loud) "Goddamn, they wait til I'm 40 to tell me I'm adopted?" She is bringing the card down here (from Xenia, where she lives) today to show the rest of the kids. And I am going to kill her.

    greg,

Thank you for listening and not promoting the rape of the earth in this particular thread. I am heartened by your promotion of the parks and a return to nature.

Next time it might behoove you to encourage the many who use your outdoor recreational ideas to use sunscreen. The Rape of Mother Earth includes the deterioration of the ozone, exposing us to harmful rays and skin cancer.

    Cool

I'm a big supporter of going to the parks and of park activities. If you check, all of the to-do lists include outdoor activities (especially the spring and summer ones) I sometimes just go to the park to eat lunch in the spring and summer. The Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area has some great parks, if fact our park district is very highly rated nationwide. Use the parks, but dont abuse them and we'll all be able to enjoy them for years to come.

    Cool

This starts in July and carries into August, but is one of the summers biggest events.

    TENNIS MASTERS CINCINNATI

This years there is a womens event as well, but that all takes place in August.

The Finish Line Festival will be at Sawyer Point July 10th.

The Annual St Ritas School for the deaf fest is July 9-11

    more to come.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I highly recommend the tennis series. It's a classy event. I was treated to a catered corporate box on a pristine afternoon on company time, so my perception might be slightly skewed.

I suggest - if possible - buying a ticket on a particularly nice day and watching some tennis. Felt like vacation to me.
